Frenchman rules out Premier League switch.
France midfielder Franck Ribery wants to finish his career with current club Bayern Munich – ending the chances of a switch to the Premier League.
The attacking winger has been linked with the majority of England’s top clubs since he came to international attention with his form over two seasons with Marseille, before he joined the Bundesliga giants in 2007.
This is something of a non-story given that the supposed links between Ribery and the Premier League have been few and far between since his move to Bayern Munich in 2007.
The 29-year-old France international has been a tremendous success since joining Bayern and there is no reason why he’d want to leave the Allianz Arena in the near future.
Jupp Heynckes’s side sit top of the Bundesliga and have every chance of ending Borussia Dortmund’s domestic dominance, whilst simultaneously mounting a renewed assault on the Champions League, after last year’s bitter defeat in their own back yard.
A number of Premier League sides would love to land Ribery, a powerful and skilled winger, but the former Marseille man is now almost certain to see out his career at Bayern Munich.
Ribery has scored 74 goals and provided a whopping 107 assists in the 209 appearances he has made for the German giants since his £22m move to Bavaria.
