Camp Nou ace wants to make the switch to Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal reportedly failed with a bid to sign Barcelona striker David Villa in the January transfer window, despite firm interest in the move from the player.

Sunderland vs Arsenal tickets are on sale from £23 for this Saturday’s match at the Stadium of Light.
Now, Villa wants to push through a deal in the summer, according to The Sun.
The Barcelona forward was keen to move in the recent January window, but his club would not let him leave. Clearly having Spain’s record international goalscorer on the bench is an asset not be discarded lightly, but keeping a player who wants to leave doesn’t tend to generate his best form.
The bench is the key issue here. Villa probably wouldn’t want to leave Barcelona if he was guaranteed playing time, but has only started fifteen matches for the club this season.
The 31 year-old has ten goals in that time, and a record of two goals every three games is something any Arsenal forward would admire.
Still, there remains doubt that Arsene Wenger will still be interested in signing Villa.
With his quality in no question, it can only be down to his age.
Given that Villa will turn 32 halfway into Arsenal’s next season, Arsenal would only get so much value for the Spaniard.
Unless they can get him for less than £10 million in the summer transfer window, it seems more likely that Arsene Wenger will look to younger targets.
