When: Saturday March 1, 19:45 GMT
Scudetto chasing Roma host rivals Inter Milan at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, with Rudi Garcia’s men looking to maintain the pressure on leaders Juventus.
The gap still remains at nine points although the Giallorossi do have a game in hand, but with Juve facing Milan this weekend and Fiorentina next, Rudi Garcia will know that they must do their job in order to remain in the hunt.
However, the French tactician will be without Maicon and Alessandro Florenzi who are both ruled out with injury, while talismanic captain Francesco Totti may only be fit enough for the bench.
Nevertheless, Roma remain a tight-knit group at the back, while Mattia Destro could be given a chance against his former club to continue what has been a positive season for him thus far.
Inter boss Walter Mazzarri continues to work under intense pressure after being held by Cagliari at San Siro last weekend, and although club owner Erick Thohir has publicly backed him, he will be aware of the requirement to secure positive results.
Former Lazio midfielder Hernanes has been particularly vocal in the build-up to this game, and the Brazilian has revealed in La Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday that he would love to score against his former foes for his new club.
Attention will also be on referee Mauro Bergonzi for this one, as after all the controversy last week, the officials are under increased scrutiny to call things correctly as we head down the final stretch of the season.
However, Roma will be buoyed by the fact that they haven’t lost to Inter at home since 2008, and given the current form of both sides they will be confident of their chances of securing all three points.
Goals are generally guaranteed when these two sides meet, and Saturday night’s meeting promises to be no different with plenty on the line for both.
