Wenger happy with Wilshere’s contribution in weekend draw.
Arsene Wenger has lavished praise on midfielder Jack Wilshere after his game changing display in the 2-2 draw with Manchester City on Saturday, report the Mail, with the Frenchman believing that the England international has silenced the critics that had been queueing up to question his displays.

Wilshere was inspirational for his side as they came from behind to take the lead against City at the Emirates Stadium, scoring the first goal and causing carnage in the centre, and Wenger believes that it was the performance of a player with plenty to prove:
“That’s what Jack did, but I don’t believe we can explain his good performance through the criticism of Paul Scholes.”
“But you have to respond to critics when you’re in a public job. You have accept criticism, go on the pitch and show you have the talent.”
Scholes was amongst the pundits to have accused Wilshere of not living up to his potential after a slow start to the season, but the midfielder will now be looking to build on an impressive display when his side face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League during the week.
