GK) Tim Howard – Everton
The 35-year-old American has barely put a foot wrong all season for the Toffees. He’s commanded his defence expertly, and made a number of crucial saves as well. It seems hard to remember that he was once thrown on the Old Trafford scrap heap when at United.
DR) Jon Flanagan – Liverpool
When Flanagan was given his first start this season, he trended on Twitter such was the disappointment of Liverpool fans. They’d all be happy to admit just how wrong they were. 20 appearances later, Flanagan has made the left-back spot his own (although he’s naturally a right-back), and could well be collecting a Premier League winners medal at the end of the season as well.
