Arsenal face another big test in the Barclays Premier League as Chelsea travel across London to battle the Gunners at Emirates Stadium.

The north London side have had a brilliant start to the season, but in recent weeks their west London rivals have gained ground on them, and despite the lack of a world class striker, Chelsea look in ominous form.

In addition, Arsene Wenger has never defeated Blues boss Jose Mourinho, but nevertheless, this season Arsenal appear to be a more robust outfit, and have deservedly topped the table for most of the campaign.

Mourinho attributes much of his opponents’ success so far to their huge £42.4 million outlay on Mesut Ozil, who he worked with while at Real Madrid.

“It’s impossible to stop [Ozil] over 90 minutes,” said Mourinho.

“These kind of players will always have a moment or a couple of moments where they end up showing why they are so good.

“Mesut is a phenomenal player, one of these players that you buy to complete the puzzle of your team. You don’t need time with him, you need nothing. The player just arrives. His quality and his maturity and his leadership… you put him in and you know automatically your team becomes better.

“There are many ways to improve your team. One of them is to work with young players and another is to go directly to the market and buy one of these finished products. Arsenal had the chance to do it with Mesut and they did very well.”

The match will be live on Sky Sports with coverage starting at 7pm. If you don’t have a Sky subscription why not grab yourself a NOW TV Sky Sports Day Pass – Pay As You Go access to all 6 Sky Sports channels for the first time ever!
