The manager is looking to make a signing before the window closes, but not Draxler.
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Arsenal are looking to make a midfield signing before the January transfer window closes as Aaron Ramsey is ruled out for six weeks.
Sky Sports reports that Ramsey will be sidelined with the thigh injury that has been troubling the 23-year-old since December.
With Jack Wilshere having also struggled with fitness issues this season and Mathieu Flamini currently suspended for three matches, Wenger is looking to strengthen the squad – however, the north London club will not be signing Schalke 04’s Julian Draxler.

The news that Draxler is staying in Germany may come as a disappointment to many supporters, but there will be some excitement concerning the arrival of a new midfielder.
It’s well documented that Wenger is not a fan of a mid-season transfer window and is likely to only to be looking to make a loan signing in January.
They have been strongly linked with a number of strikers as well, with Dimitar Berbatov, Cristian Tello, Miroslav Klose, Alvaro Morata and Mirko Vucinic having all been named as potential targets.
