Pedro turns down Gunners Liverpool and Manchester United.
Barcelona forward Pedro was being linked with a transfer to either Arsenal, Liverpool or Manchester United but has snubbed the Premier League in order to stay at the Nou Camp.
The fierce competition at Barca meant that the Spain international was not getting as many opportunities as the attacker wished.
Yet despite being offered an outlet in England, Pedro has decided that staying in Catalonia is the best option for the 26-year-old.
“I’m happy and relaxed at Barça. I plan to remain at this club and at the end of the season be able to say that things have gone well for me,” the Spaniard was quoted by Marca.
“I hope to stay here and win the league. Our goal is to not drop any more points and be challenging for silverware at the business end of the season,”
The winger is a product of the Spanish champions’ youth system and broke into the first team back in 2008 and has since developed into a top star on both the domestic and international stage.
In Pedro’s last outing before the winter break the forward netted a hat-trick to help secure a 2-5 victory over Getafe and keep up the Catalans’ title challenge.
It takes the star’s tally to 10 in La Liga this term and the Spaniard has made the step up as Barca try and cope with the long-term absence of talisman Lionel Messi.
