Gibbs is relishing the opportunity to win at Anfield.
Ahead of the Liverpool v Arsenal Premier League match on Saturday left-back Kieran Gibbs has said the Gunners are ready to make a big statement.
The side face a tough 11 days in February, playing Manchester United in the league, the Reds again in the FA Cup and the Bayern Munich in the Champions League – all by February 19.
However, Gibbs is not daunted by the upcoming fixtures and is relishing the chance to take an important three points from Anfield at the weekend.
“I think it would make a big statement if we won there – just like it did when we played Liverpool at home,” the 24-year-old was quoted by the Mirror.
“We have got a lot of big games coming up, so it will be another test. As the weeks go on, we are just going to be put under a bigger and bigger test.
“It is not often you get to play Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich, twice, in less than two weeks. So it will be great to be a part of it – playing against the best teams in the world.
“We have stayed top of the league for a significant part of the season and we are enjoying being top of the league.
“Going in as the underdogs takes the pressure off, but we are not looking at the odds of winning the Premier League. We just want to win the Premier League.”
The north Londoners have certainly been in good form this term and are currently top of the table with 55 points from 24 games.
The last time they faced Brendan Rodgers’ men they secured a 2-0 victory over the Merseyside outfit at the Emirates Stadium.
