Gunners ready bid for Premier League defender.
Arsenal look set to go ahead with a £3m bid to sign West Ham United centre-back Winston Reid this January after recent claims from manager Sam Allardyce, according to the Daily Star.
The Hammers boss claimed that the New Zealand international, who has also been linked with Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton, has no future at the club due to his contract situation.
Reid, 26, will be a free agent in the summer if he does not renew his current deal at Upton Park, and Arsenal now hope to bring him to the Emirates Stadium this month.
The Gunners are in need of defensive reinforcements after a poor start to the season, with a lack of depth in that department meaning players have played out of posiiton in the middle many times already this term.
