Arsenal players Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Kieran Gibbs have each had successful appeals heard by the FA and will be available for first team action immediately.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s plea was a tricky one, given it was he who handled the ball to save Eden Hazard’s shot, but as the ball was wide it was not technically a goalscoring opportunity.
Arsenal argued that Gibbs was not involved in any incident, making his case of mistaken identity easy to overturn.
It is a big boost for the Emirates Stadium club after the morale sapping 6-0 loss to Chelsea on Saturday made a major dent in their hopes of claiming the Barclays Premier League title.
The Gunners are able to call upon both Oxlade-Chamberlain and Gibbs to face Swansea City in midweek.
