Crocked Gunners defender may need to go under the knife.
Arsenal defender Mathieu Debuchy will discover on Friday whether he will require surgery on his ankle after being stretchered out of the side’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City at the weekend, according to the Daily Star.
He has damaged ligaments in his left ankle and is now waiting to discover his fate, something that could hamper Arsene Wenger’s injury problems even further.
Debuchy addressed his 163,000 fans on Facebook by saying: “No fracture but one broken ligament… I have to wait until Friday in order to know if I must have surgery.”
Wenger is desperately short of cover at the back for this weekend’s trip to Aston Villa and may be forced to use youngster Hector Bellarin again depending on whether or not Calum Chambers recovers from Tonsillitis.
