The Frenchman doesn’t mix any words now the forward is in form.
After a disappointing opening day defeat to Aston Villa, Arsenal have been in great form and have a 100% record in all competitions thanks largely to Olivier Giroud’s great form.
The France international had many critics last season after not scoring as many goals as some fans would have liked, but now with six in 10 games, the striker has some choice words for those doubters.
“At a point in time last year, certain things annoyed me,” Giroud was quoted by the Mirror.
“I wasn’t hurt, I wouldn’t go that far. But they p***** me off.
“You run yourself into the ground on the pitch, you do yourself in, and you get the impression that people didn’t see the game.
“At the end of the match, they just look at the score and don’t see the content.
“It’s perhaps also due to my game, I’ve always made those around me play. Perhaps I think too much about others, but that mustn’t change. I have to stay myself.”
The Frenchman’s fine form has coincided with a similar impressive campaign so far from Aaron Ramsey and also the impact of club record signing Mesut Ozil.
The Gunners success has seen the north London club jump to both the top of the Premier League and their Champions League group.
Giroud has been a big part of that improvement and manager Arsene Wenger would be forgiven for felling pretty smug currently, due to the success of the 63-year-old’s signings over the past few seasons.
