Ramsey bagged another brilliant solo goal against Norwich yesterday…
Arsenal captain Thomas Vermaelen has lavished praise on the excellent Aaron Ramsey, who scored yet another goal yesterday for the Gunners, reports the Sunday Mirror.
Vermaelen can’t get in the Gunners lineup this season, due to the excellent form of Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny in front of him, but he’s had the privilege of watching Ramsey work his magic from the bench.
“Aaron is doing incredibly well. He showed it again against us (Belgium) in midweek with his goal. He is the best player in the Premier League at the moment,” said the Belgian centre-half.
Ramsey has now scored nine goals in competitions for Arsenal in what’s turning out to be a wonderful breakthrough season. Arsenal beat Norwich yesterday, with the 23-year-old Welshman on form again. Ramsey scored a great solo goal, and looked comfortable alongside world-class performers like Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla.
“He is scoring goals and looking really sharp with his passing,” Vermaelen continued.
“He’s doing extremely well. He’s been unbelievable for us. He got the Player of the Month award, scoring goals, playing well and showing he is important for us.
“There is more to come from him because he is young.”
Arsenal overtook Liverpool to go to the top of the Premier League table yesterday, and with Theo Walcott and Lucas Podolski still to return from injury, the Gunners are beginning to look like early title favourites.
