QPR have made an improved offer of £7 million for the player and look to be in pole position in the race for player’s signature.
The Gunners have been strongly linked with the 22 year old but it appears Harry Redknapp’s determination to bring in reinforcements has seen them jump to the front of the queue.
Negotiations with the Loftus Road club are now said to be at an advanced stage after the London club settled the issue of what would happen should QPR be relegated this season.
M’Vila raised concerns as the player has no intention of plying his trade in any English division other than the Premier League.
That has been resolved now with QPR agreeing to insert a relegation release clause into the player’s contract.
Arsenal fans may not be too disappointed at losing out on the player’s signature however as centre midfield is arguably one of the positions the club is strongest in, being able to call upon the likes of Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey.
It may be that the club have missed out on the player as a result of them focusing on reinforcements for other positions.
