Gunners want Tello at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are ready to move for Barcelona youngster Cristian Tello, according to CaughtOffside.
The 21-year-old has a release clause of just £8.5m and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to move for the winger before Barca can open fresh contract talks this summer.
The Catalans are already facing the unhappy prospect of losing playmaker Thiago Alcantara to Manchester United for just £15m and if Tello were to also depart, it would be a major embarrassment for president Sandro Rossell, particularly with an election looming.
Wenger is reportedly ready to give Tello assurances that he will get significant playing time at the Emirates Stadium next season, as well as a substantial pay-rise.
Tell managed just 12 La Liga starts for the Champions last season, and two in the Champions League, but the versatile forward still bagged eight goals in all competitions.
The £50m arrival of Brazilian superstar Neymar at the Nou Camp is likely to further limit Tello’s playing time and the Spaniard will seriously consider Arsenal’s offer.
