Wolciech Szczesny – 7
Looked solid throughout the game and even played on after being knocked out following a collision with Red Devils player Phil Jones.
The goalkeeper wasn’t to blame for the only goal of the game as Robin Van Persie was allowed too much space to head in a corner.
Szczesny is beginning to look the genuine part as a No.1 for the club and it was a shame the 23-year-old’s defence didn’t provide better cover.
Bacary Sagna – 6
Looked good going forward but provided less solidity in defence earlier in the game, but improved as the tie went on.
Sagna has looked in good touch for the side all season and although this was not one of the right-back’s better days, there were still positives to be taken.
Laurent Koscielny – 6
Looked a little lost without usual defensive partner Per Mertesacker – who pulled out of the match due to a stomach bug that also ruled out Tomas Rosicky.
That being said Koscielny defended tirelessly but should have shown more authority at the back.
