Arsenal’s backup players are nowhere near as good as Chelsea’s…
- 21 Fabianski – 5
Can’t be blamed for the goals, but hardly did anything to stake a regular first-team place.
- 25 Jenkinson – 4
Oh dear. Shocking backwards header to gift Chelsea the opener.
- 17 Monreal – 6
Solid defensively, and always provided an option up the left flank.
- 06 Koscielny – 6
Made regular interceptions, and dealt with the threat of Samuel Eto’o well.
- 05 Vermaelen – 5
Off the pace. The Belgian hasn’t played in a while, and he was sloppy in possession.
- 16 Ramsey (Park – 81′ ) 6 & n/a
Busy, but far from brilliant from Ramsey. The Welshman was industrious but lacked his recent match winning spark.
- 31 Miyaichi (Özil – 63′ ) 4 & 6
Totally useless in all honesty. The Japanese won’t make the grade at the Emirates. His replacement probably will.
- 10 Wilshere – 6
Kept Arsenal ticking along in midfield, but didn’t provide a genuine attacking influence in an all-round lacklustre team performance.
- 07 Rosicky – 5
Peripheral figure.
- 19 Cazorla – 7
Picked up the ball in good positions, and was arguably the only Arsenal player who ever looked likely to make things happen.
- 23 Bendtner (Giroud – 67′ ) 6 & 6
Hard work, but no real quality from the much maligned Dane. His replacement didn’t have time to really change the game either.
