Arsenal still hoping to bring West Ham star to Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are believed to have made a renewed bid for West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame as they attempt to finally reinforce in the January transfer window.

Manchester City vs Liverpool tickets are on sale from £29 for this Sunday’s match at the Etihad Stadium
Diame has been linked with a Gunners deal ever since his £3.5 million release clause was made public, and would make a fine addition to the squad at Emirates Stadium.
Mikel Arteta has typically been the most defensive player in Arsenal’s midfield, with Aaron Ramsey deployed there recently due to the Spaniard’s injury.
Neither player is really an enforcer by trade, and though both have won plaudits for their work in the anchor role they are having to adapt their natural games in order to do a job there.
Diame hasn’t exactly played that position either at West Ham, but it is thought that Arsene Wenger has firm hopes that he can do so at Emirates Stadium to add steel to the middle of the park.
A fine tackler who is able to drive the team on, Diame’s physical frame harks back to the days of Patrick Vieira at Arsenal.
At 25, his best days are ahead of him, and it remains to be seen now if the deal can be completed in time.
