Gunners great thinks striker could be on his way.
Arsenal could sign Lyon striker and Liverpool target Alexandre Lacazette in the near future, according to the Daily Mail.
Robert Pires has backed the move, with the former Gunners midfielder stating that the 23-year-old would suit his old club’s style of play perfectly, seeing no reason why he couldn’t end up at the Emirates Stadium.
Lacaztte is in Thierry Henry-like scoring form this season with 25 goals in just 22 games, and he has been backed to replicate Henry’s achievements if he did move to Arsenal.
“Why not? His characteristics and style of play will suit Arsenal,” Pires said when asked about the deal.
