Hooty McOwlface frustrates ex Gunner, as Twitter forces strong denial from former Arsenal man.
Former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon has been forced to deny adopting an owl after being bombarded with tweets asking him if he’d named Hooty McOwlface.
Initially, it was just a friend of his son asking the question.

@Joshua_Dixon @LifeofSamJones Nope

However, when more and more Twitter users started asking the same question, the usually calm Lee Dixon snapped.
The owl is not mine!!!!

Later, there was a either an admission, or a rather weak attempt at humour:
Ok ok it was me. I named Hooty! I was trying to keep it quiet. Now please just let it go. Blinding name though!

The mystery of which Lee Dixon adopted Hooty McOwlface will likely remain unsolved.
