Morocco international training with the Gunners.
Arsenal could be closing in on a signing after handing a trial to Moroccan midfielder Alharbi El Jadeyaoui.
The 26-year-old currently plays for Angers in Ligue 2 but flew to London on Monday to begin training with the Gunners after being identified by boss Arsene Wenger.
Angers manager Olivier Pickeu said the clubs were not in formal negotiations for El Jadeyaoui but confirmed the North London outfit had been watching the attacking midfielder for some time.
“We’re not in negotiations. Arsenal have repeatedly watched him, with Morocco as well.
“It is rewarding for him and it is rewarding for us,” Pickeu told ouest-france.fr.
El Jadeyaoui scored four goals in 35 appearances in France’s second tier last season and would be the second player to join Arsenal from Ligue 2 this summer, after Yaya Sanogo arrived from Auxerre.
