Sneijder asks agent to offer his services one last time.
Wesley Sneijder has asked his agent to offer his services to Premier League clubs one last time on the eve of a proposed transfer to Galatasaray, according to The Independent.
The Dutch midfielder has found himself marginalised at the San Siro after failing to agree to Inter’s demands for a reduced contract.
The Neazzuri have refused to play Sneijder since September, and reportedly offered him to Premier League clubs on a free transfer in an attempt to remove him from the wage bill.
No clubs were willing to come forward, baulking at his reported £200,000 a week demands, but Turkish club Galatasaray have reportedly taken the lead in the race for the player’s signature after making an approach in the last few days.
Terms have been all but agreed, but Sneijder is desperate for a move to the Premier League and has asked his agent to tout his services one last time.
While Galatasaray will likely be able to offer Sneijder Champions League football, the Dutch trequartista sees the Turkish top flight as inferior and is keen to test himself in the physical battles of the English Premier League.
Were the Dutchman to lower his wage demands, the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Man Utd and even QPR are all said to be ready to offer Sneijder a deal to showcase his talents on the English stage.
