Arsenal could face some serious competition in their hopes to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette as Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain have entered the race for his signature by declaring their own interest in him, according to the Metro.
Having hit 26 goals in 28 appearances so far this term, he goes into the club’s final stretch as the top goalscorer in the French top flight.
And it is this form that has attracted attention from the likes of Premier League Arsenal and Liverpool, who have been keeping a close watch on his form over the past few months.
Both sides are in the market for increased firepower this summer, and could opt to make a move. However, a report in talkSPORT has claimed that PSG have now declared their own interest and will make a move of their own at the end of the current campaign.
PSG are likely to offload either Edinson Cavani or Ezequiel Lavezzi this summer, thus freeing up a space in the squad for another striker.
