Gunners maybe needing a replacement for the PSG-bound Bacary Sagna at the Emirates next season.
Arsenal are pondering making a shock summer move for Manchester City defender Micah Richards, according to reports in the Sunday Mirror.
The some-time England international has been the subject of much speculation of late linking the player with a move away from Eastlands when the transfer window finally reopens for action on July 1 after what was a frustrating previous season in the north west for the 25-year-old.
The talented full back had to contend with a serious knee injury that ultimately restricted Richards to just eight appearances in total in all competitions for the mega-rich Premier League giants, seven of which came in the top flight.
And now with Richards approaching the final two years of his current contract in the north west, the right back has to decide between accepting City’s offer of a new two-year deal to remain at Eastlands in the long term, or seek a new challenge in his career, with Arsenal understood to be readying an offer of £12 million for the player this summer.
