Sagna was linked with a move back to France to join Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window but any deal did not materialise with Arsenal instead adding to their defence with the capture of Nacho Monreal.
The 29-year-old France international Sagna had a spell on the sidelines earlier in the season and was expected to face a tough challenge to get his right-back berth back from the impressive Carl Jenkinson, whose form earned him a call-up to the full England squad.
He has gained that position back since overcoming and has kept former Charlton defender Jenkinson at bay, but it is expected that the younger full-back will make the position his own next season when manager Arsene Wenger is to reshape a back four that has been leaky at times this campaign..
Sagna, however, does not intend on leaving the Emirates to join PSG or any other club before his contract expires at the end of next season.
“The January transfer rumours regarding PSG? I am 100 per cent devoted to my club,” Sagna told L’Equipe. “I am only thinking about defending the colours of Arsenal until the end of my contract.
“The fans are angry with me because they heard about PSG’s interest, but I am not responsible for that. I have never had any contact.”
