Arsene Wenger confirms Sagna is doubtful.
Bacary Sagna is a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to West Brom after picking up a hamstring injury in the 2-0 Champions League win over Napoli on Tuesday.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger confirmed the French defender was the only fresh injury worry ahead of the trip to the Hawthorns, with Santi Cazorla and Yaya Sanogo still out.
“The only uncertainty we have could be Bacary Sagna who had a little hamstring problem. He has a scan today [Thursday] and from then on we will assess his situation. Everybody else came out of the Napoli game without a major problem so they should all be available,” Wenger told Arsenal.com.
Wenger confirmed that Cazorla should be fit to return from an ankle ligament injury after the international break.
“He is not in contention. But he could be not far after the international break.”
Sanogo, meanwhile, is continuing to recover from a back injury picked up last month while on duty with the France under-21s.
“He is on a good way after his back problem. He will be the same, after the international break.”
