Arsenal have reportedly made contact with Premier League relegation battlers Leicester City regarding a possible move for goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, according to Danish news source Ekstra Bladet.
However, Leicester aren’t rushing into any negotiations with anybody about the goalkeeper’s future as they are waiting until the end of the season to see which division they end up in before making decisions over anyone’s future.
The Foxes are currently implementing an incredible fight back, having looked like certainties to go down at the turn of the year, and are now climbing the table having picked up six victories from their previous seven games.
But Arsenal aren’t the only side interested in the 28 year old’s signature, as a series of top clubs are also watching him closely.
Schmeichel has figured 22 times for Leicester this season, and has played a key role in their bid for survival, though injury robbed him of a portion of the campaign before Christmas.
