Gunners eyeing Spurs goalkeeper.
Arsenal are keen to raid North London rivals Tottenham for 19-year-old goalkeeper Jordan Archer, reports the Sunday People.
QPR vs Arsenal tickets are now available for the London derby at Loftus Road on 4 May!
The youngster is currently on loan at Wycombe Wanderers but has caught the eye with the League Two outfit and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is thought to be considering a bid.
Archer is already a regular with the Scotland under-21 side but the youngster’s first-team prospects at White Hart Lane look bleak, with Hugo Lloris, Heurelho Gomes and Brad Friedel all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Having emerged through the youth system at Charlton Athletic, Archer joined the Tottenham academy in 2009 and was given a professional contract 18 months ago. He had a loan spell at Conference North side Bishop’s Stortford last season and joined Wycombe to gain first-team experience this term.
Wenger boasts three goalkeepers of his own in Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Fabianski and Vito Mannone but the Frenchman is thought to have lost faith in current number one Szczesny and is preparing to overhaul his options between the sticks in the next six months.
If Arsenal succeed in raiding their bitter rivals for Archer, the Scot is likely to be sent out on loan again next season but could be fast-tracked into the Gunners first-team in the next few years.
