Cazorla was the best player on the pitch as his side won at Manchester City today.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has singled out Spanish international playmaker Santi Cazorla for praise following his side’s stunning 2-0 victory at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, report the Mirror, a game in which the former Malaga man was particularly influential.
Cazorla stepped up to convert the first half penalty that was won by his former Malaga teammate Nacho Monreal, and delivered the delicious free kick from which Olivier Giroud stooped to make the points safe after the break.
The Spaniard has certainly stepped up after record signing Mesut Ozil was ruled out through injury – and Wenger heaped praise on him following their Etihad Stadium success:
“Santi Cazorla has been superb for a while now but today he was maybe even more influential.”
