Wenger confident that the Emirates Stadium will host Champions League football next season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is confident his side can still finish in the Premier League top four.
The Gunners trail fourth-placed Tottenham by four points but have a game in hand over their north London rivals.
Despite missing talismanic midfielder Jack Wilshere through injury, Arsenal have won their previous two matches at Bayern Munich and Swansea 2-0, while Spurs have stuttered to defeats at Liverpool and at home to Fulham.
Wenger stressed that his players were not focussing on their neighbours and said finishing in the top four was still possible.
“We’ve got nine games to go – five at home and four away. The form we showed against Bayern was very good. We have a chance to finish in the top four,” Wenger is quoted as saying as the BBC.
“We have the experience of a few years and a special desire to do it together. It’s a good opportunity for us. We want to grab this chance. If we are consistent we will do it. We’re not focused on Tottenham, but the way we want to play.”
Arsenal have been dumped out of both domestic cups to Football League opposition this season and despite winning in Germany, they were beaten by Bayern on away goals in the Champions League last-16, after the Bavarians claimed a 3-1 win at the Emirates Stadium.
