Premier League giants now favourites for Zaha.
Arsenal or Manchester United are favourites to sign Crystal Palace youngster after ESPN learnt that Tottenham are not in the race for the forward.
Crystal Palace starlet Zaha is one of the most highly-rated talents in the country and is expected to leave the Championship for a top Premier League outfit this month.
The 20-year-old has been linked with Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool but it is understood that Zaha’s preference is to remain in London.
But it has emerged that Spurs are not in the market for the youngster, leaving North London rivals Arsenal as clear front-runners for his signature.
Manchester United remain in the hunt for the wide-man, who made his England debut against Sweden in November, and will allow the youngster to remain on loan at Selhurst Park until next summer.
Palace chairman Steve Parish is confident of keeping hold of his club’s prize asset until the summer at least.
“Right now, we’re concentrating on trying to get out of this league and the best way of doing that is adding to what we’ve got, not losing players,” he told talkSPORT last week.
“I think he will be a Palace player until the summer and then we will look at it. Obviously, we will look at anything that anybody offers us because we would be mad not to.
“If we feel we can move the club forward from doing certain things, then we will. So, never say never. But, right now, we are focused on trying to keep everyone in the squad.”
