British number one backs an independent Scotland.
Tennis star Andy Murray has lent his apparent backing to the ‘Yes’ campaign for Scottish independence today, tweeting on the subject last night.
The 27-year-old, who is currently British number one, has previously stated that he would want to play for Scotland, though he is not eligible to vote today as he lives in England.
Still, the 2013 Wimbledon champion now appears to be firmly in the ‘Yes’ camp, saying that the negativity from the ‘No’ side has swayed him on the matter, having previously remained quiet on the issue.
Huge day for Scotland today! no campaign negativity last few days totally swayed my view on it. excited to see the outcome. lets do this!
