Gold Coast Suns have been confirmed as one of the clubs interested in Sydney Swans defender Nick Malceski.
The 2014 All-Australian player has been linked to a number of different clubs, but speaking to AFL Trade Radio, Malceski’s manager Ben Niall confirmed the Suns were one of the club’s interested in the defender’s services.
“They (Gold Coast) are one of the clubs,” Niall said on Monday.
Malceski has also been linked with a move to join former coach Paul Roos at Melbourne, and Niall said the uncertainty around Guy McKenna’s future at the Suns was a concern.
“Not knowing who the coach may be, that is unhelpful, because the coach-player relationship is pretty fundamental,” he said.
Niall added that a majority of the deals offered to Malceski were on a two-year basis, however he believes the 30-year-old can secure a lengthier contract.
