Geelong midfielder Allen Christensen is expected to request a move to a Queensland club, according to reports.
News Corp Australia and AFL.com.au both suggest the 23-year-old is pushing for a move due to non-footballing reasons.
It is currently unknown which of the two Queensland clubs he prefers, however the Brisbane Lions are committed to luring Dayne Beams from Collingwood, putting Gold Coast in the box seat.
Christensen is one of the Cats’ brightest young talents, but has troubled by an ongoing back injury over the last few years.
He played eight games in 2014 after returning from back surgery, and featured in the Cats’ 2011 grand final win over Collingwood.
The former Geelong Falcon has played 65 games with the Cats since being drafted at pick no.40 in the 2009 national draft.
