Rossoneri set to make approach for Magpies’ pair.
AC Milan are set to make an approach for two of Newcastle’s players, according to The Mirror.
The St. James Park as bracing themselves for bids for goalkeeper Tim Krul, as well as defender Davide Santon.
Mauro Tassotti confirmed last weekend that the Italian giants are interested in left-back Santon, and they are now rumoured to be considering making a double approach that would also include the Dutch shot-stopper Krul.
It is not clear however how AC Milan are likely to come up with the transfer funds, with Newcastle almost certain to demand a significant outlay in terms of transfer fees if they are to agree to the pair’s departure.
The Magpies have already been rocked in recent days by the news of Argentine centre-back Fabio Coloccini’s desire to return to his homeland.
Fans of the St. James’ Park side will be worried at the news will their side struggling for form in the Premier League, and their side increasingly looking like being dragged into a relegation dogfight.
With Demba Ba having recently left for Chelsea, Newcastle have lost one of their main sources of goals, and they’ll be looking to hold on to the rest of their squad as they battle for their Premier League status.
