Rossoneri will not now be signing controversial Italy international.
Serie A giants AC Milan will not be signing unsettled Manchester City front man Mario Balotelli in the January transfer window, reports Sky Sports.
It is now an open secret that the Premier League champions would be willing to listen to offers for the controversial Italy international, especially following his limp display in the recent Manchester derby, as well as his subsequent training-ground confrontation with City manager Roberto Mancini in which the player had to be separated from his coach.
However, it had been expected that Milan would take the Italian off City’s hands this month, initially on loan but with a view to a permanent long-term deal, only for Rossoneri chief executive Adriano Galliani to dampen down those hopes in a recent interview given on Italian television.
“If no one leaves, no one will arrive,” Galliani told Sport Mediaset.
“Mario Balotelli? We have five strikers for two/three roles, so we are fine.
“I always said that if only one striker were to leave, we would not have taken anyone, and we have sold only Pato.
“AC Milan needs a bit of time to get back to the top, but I’m sure we will. We want to invest in young players also in this market window.”
