The agent of full-back Ignazio Abate has reportedly come out and said that the Italian giants would be willing to listen to offers for his client as they look to raise the £25 million necessary to secure Balotelli’s signature.
Russian club Zenit St Petersburg are rumoured to be ready to make a move for the player who may soon be followed out of the San Siro exit door by former Manchester City forward Robinho. The Brazilian is keen to secure a return back to his homeland which would vacate a space in the Rossoneri attacking line for Super Mario to fill.
The news follows the departure of Robinho’s Brazilian compatriot Alexandre Pato earlier in the month to Corinthians.
AC Milan are keeping their options however in case the funds do not become available. Reports suggest that the club have met with the representatives of former Chelsea forward Didier Drogba. The Ivorian would be available on a free once he successfully negotiates the termination of his contract with his current employers Shanghai Shenhua, and may present a more financially viable option should the funds for Balotelli not be forthcoming.
