Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is losing the support of his coaches after a second straight loss for Miami. Tannehill played great for the Dolphins in 2013 and had the team at 8-6 with only one game needed to clinch a playoff berth. But the Dolphins lost the last two games to the Bills and Jets and fell out of contention, putting his leadership into question – and only further questions now that the Dolphins have lost two in a row.
Here are the biggest losers from Week 3 of the NFL season:
San Francisco 49ers – Two losses in a row make the team look like they are greatly distracted over the Ray McDonald domestic abuse situation. Either that or the defense just isn’t bailing out the offense like it used to.
Jacksonville Jaguars – Can this team go a single week without getting completely embarrassed by an opponent? The Colts scored as many points in this game as the Jaguars have scored in the past 3 COMBINED. The scary thing is that fact may prove true after Week 4 when they play the Chargers.
Oakland Raiders – You can’t lose a game like that to the Patriots to a holding call and an INT. Heads will be on the chopping block before Thanksgiving if the Raiders don’t win in London next week.
San Diego Chargers running game – First Ryan Mathews and now Danny Woodhead, the Chargers will need Philip Rivers to continue with the MVP-caliber season he’s going through for this team to win against the Broncos.
Ryan Tannehill – Despite a Week 1 win over the Patriots, the Dolphins starting QB is not playing well. With a QBR of less than 75, and accuracy of only 56.5%, the Dolphins have now become hesitant to name him the starter against the Raiders of all teams.
