The moment NFL fans have been waiting for will be over very soon, as the NFL Draft is set to begin at 8 p.m. EST.
Although this year’s quarterback class is relatively weak, it consists of two potential future stars in Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota.
Fanatix recently finished its first edition of an NFL mock draft, but here is a second edition from the experts on how it will shake up.
1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State
It has become a virtual guarantee that the Buccaneers will select Winston with the first overall pick, and there’s no arguing that decision since they desperately need a quarterback. Winston’s Florida roots are sure to fill seats, although his character concerns will always make him a risk.
2. Tennessee Titans – Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon
The Titans also need a quarterback badly. While they have Zach Mettenberger, Mariota’s upside may prove impossible to decline. Even if the Titans do not take Mariota, there’s a great chance that a team will ask to trade up for him. While trades are not being predicted in this mock draft, the odds are in favor of Mariota being the second pick, regardless of which team drafts him.
