Prized Brisbane Lions recruit Dayne Beams will face his old side Collingwood, with the Lions and the Magpies scheduled to face each other in round one of the 2015 AFL season.
The AFL has confirmed its opening round fixtures, with Carlton and Richmond once again kicking off the new season at the MCG on Easter Thursday.
With the AFL choosing not to stage a Good Friday game, all eyes will then be on Saturday’s clash between Brisbane and Collingwood at the Gabba.
Beams joined the Lions after 118 games with Collingwood, including the 2010 premiership.
The AFL will reveal the full 2015 fixture on Thursday October 30.
