Michael Vaughan tips Stuart Broad for one-day captain role
By James Barnes, on 28th March 2011, 08:54 UTC
Michael Vaughan has said that Stuart Broad should be the next England one-day captain.
Former England captain Vaughan thinks that a bowler may be a better option, although Alistair Cook has been tipped to take over the role should Andrew Strauss step down.
"I just think the one-day team might grow under someone like Stuart Broad who plays it pretty tough," Vaughan told BBC Sport.
"Maybe the one-day team needs a different approach and direction."
Many have aimed the blame for England's exit from the Cricket World Cup on Strauss, including a shock defeat to Ireland.
Cricket tickets, including England's test matches against Sri Lanka and India, are available now.
