France coach Marc Lievremont has said that he regrets his brutal outburst following Saturday's defeat by Italy in which he suggested several players may not represent Les Bleus again.
Lievremont used words such as "ashamed" and "betrayed" in the assessment of his players' performances.
After making many changes for France's next Six Nations game against Wales, Lievremont admitted that he was harsh on players before.
Quoted on www.lequipe.fr, Lievremont said: "I regret my comments on the international decline of some. It was clumsy of me."
Six Nations tickets for the remaining games are available now.
