Liverpool hope to get it right second time around against Portsmouth

Liverpool take on Portsmouth on the 13th of March 2010 hoping for a better result than they had in the reverse league fixture, when the Barclays Premier League's bottom side beat them 2-0. That was arguably Rafa Benitez's side's lowest point of the season, for Portsmouth have won just four games in the league this season. In fact, their win against Liverpool being their only success against a side in the top half of the table (at time of writing). Although of course no one wishes this to happen, should Portsmouth be unable to fulfil league fixtures and be evicted from the English top flight, all results against them would be void, making Liverpool the main beneficiaries particularly when the competition for that fourth Champions League spot is so fierce.
With some of their better players coming back from injury, with fans particularly looking forward to the returns to fitness of Fernando Torres and Glen Johnson.
