Leeds and Reading 2011 festival headliner rumors

Leeds and Reading festival organiser Melvin Benn gave some clues to who might, or rather might not be headlining this years festivals. While speaking to BBC Newsbeat he enthused that this years bill toppers will be 'staggeringly good' and will not be headlining anywhere else in the country. This would rule out Linkin park and System of a down (Download festival), Foo fighters and Blink 182 (T in the park), Slipknot, Biffy Clyro and Metallica (Sonisphere), Kasabian and King of Leon (Isle of Wight). This leaves few heavy hitters for the prestigious festival, with Muse, Pulp and The Strokes (the later two who have recently re-formed) leading the message board rumors. Other suggestions have been My Chemical romance, Green day, Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Paramore amongst others.
