Kobe Bryant stars in LA Lakers' victory despite ankle injury

Kobe Bryant played through the pain to help the LA Lakers' defeat Orlando Magic 97-84.

Bryant struggled through the first half, but went on to make some key shots and crucial defensive plays.

There had been much discussion about whether Bryant would play, the official response that it would be a game-time decision But Bryant did play and was able to complete 30 minutes and 53 seconds.

Bryant scored 16 points, with five rebounds, four assists and one steal.
