Kings Of Leon reveal they have rejected Glee approach

US band Kings Of Leon have revealed that they recently rejected an approach from hit television show Glee. The group have previously upset fans by apparently,'selling out' but their songs featuring on Glee may just be a step too far.

Bass player Jared Followill recently stated We could have sold out so much more, we turn stuff down constantly.

The band's rejection apparently angered Glee creator, Ryan Murphy, to which King's Of Leon lead singer Caleb Followill responded, "This whole Glee thing is a shock to us. Its gotten out of hand. At the time of the request, we hadn't even seen the show. It came at the end of that record cycle, and we were over promoting "Use Somebody". This was never meant as a slap in the face to Glee or to music education or to fans of the show. We're not sure where the anger is coming from."

Kings Of Leon will return to the UK this summer to perform a series of outdoor shows. Following the success of last year's Hyde Park concert, the band will perform two shows at the London venue in 2011, as well as other stadium gigs. Tickets for all upcoming Kings Of Leon UK tour dates are on sale now.
