Kings lose chart crown

This week, The Script have replaced Kings of Leon at the top of the official UK albums chart. It is the twenty third week The Script have been in chart and this week they have managed to outsell the competition to regain the number one spot. Kings of Leon were knocked back to second place having spent over four months in the top ten. Third place went to Lady Gaga who was this week's highest new entry. Lady Gaga is also enjoying success in the UK singles chart where she has spent her second consecutive week at number one. James Morrison and Duffy took the fourth and fifth positions respectively in the official UK albums chart. Duffy's debut album, Rockferry, has now spent over ten months in the UK albums chart. The remaining acts in this week's top ten include Take That, X Factor star Leona Lewis, Beyonce, The Killers and Girls Aloud.


A host of this week's top ten artists are on tour in 2009. The Script hit the road this February visiting the O2 Academies in Sheffield (February 6), Glasgow (February 7) and Bristol (February 9). The Script tour climaxes with two shows at London's Roundhouse (February 12 &13). You can still pick up tickets to see The Script in concert from £36.80. The Kings of Leon play UK shows in June visiting the O2 Arena, London and the Manchester Evening News Arena. Kings of Leon tickets are available from £56. The 2009 James Morrison tour begins this March and includes dates at the Manchester Apollo (March 19 &20), the Hammersmith Apollo (March 30) and the Bournemouth International Centre (April 7). Tickets to see James Morrison start at £21. Take That (tickets from £50), Beyonce (tickets from £75), The Killers (tickets from £55) and Girls Aloud (tickets from £30) are also touring this year and tickets are selling out fast.
