Jimmy Carr named the Funniest Man In Britain

Jimmy Carr has been named the Funniest Man In Britain, by readers of popular men's magazine, Zoo.

The comedian, best known for his deadpan delivery and dark humour, topped the poll in front of performers such as Frankie Boyle, Michael McIntyre and John Bishop.

"Im genuinely thrilled, because this is probably my greatest achievement Ive not won many awards," he told the magazine. "ZOO readers are the young lads at my gigs, so its nice to know weve got the same sense of humour."

Jimmy Carr tickets are on sale now for live shows taking place in the UK throughout 2011.
