Italy ring changes for France clash

Italy coach Nick Mallet has made seven changes to his team for Saturday's Six Nations match with France, including dropping full-back Luke McLean.

Andrea Masi will move from wing to full-back, while backs Tommaso Benvenuti, Gonzalo Garcia and Luciano Orquera and forwards Carlo Antonio Del Fava, Andrea Lo Cicero and Carlo Festuccia come into the team.

Italy were defeated by Wales 24-16 in their last match and remain tied with Scotland in the table with no points. The final match of the tournament against Scotland could well be a wooden spoon playoff, as Italy have never beaten France in the Six Nations.

Italy will be hoping to avoid their third wooden spoon in a row.

Team: 15-Andrea Masi; 14-Tommaso Benvenuti, 13-Gonzalo Canale, 12-Gonzalo Garcia, 11-Mirco Bergamasco; 10-Luciano Orquera, 9-Fabio Semenzato; 8-Sergio Parisse (captain), 7-Robert Barbieri, 6-Alessandro Zanni, 5-Carlo Antonio Del Fava, 4-Santiago Dellape, 3-Martin Castrogiovanni, 2-Carlo Festuccia, 1-Andrea Lo Cicero.

Replacements: 16-Leonardo Ghiraldini, 17-Salvatore Perugini, 18-Quintin Geldenhuys, 19-Paul Derbyshire, 20-Pablo Canavosio, 21-Kristopher Burton, 22-Luke McLean.
