Italy ring changes for France clash
By James Barnes, on 10th March 2011, 15:28 UTC
Italy coach Nick Mallet has made seven changes to his team for Saturday's Six Nations match with France, including dropping full-back Luke McLean.
Andrea Masi will move from wing to full-back, while backs Tommaso Benvenuti, Gonzalo Garcia and Luciano Orquera and forwards Carlo Antonio Del Fava, Andrea Lo Cicero and Carlo Festuccia come into the team.
Italy were defeated by Wales 24-16 in their last match and remain tied with Scotland in the table with no points. The final match of the tournament against Scotland could well be a wooden spoon playoff, as Italy have never beaten France in the Six Nations.
Italy will be hoping to avoid their third wooden spoon in a row.
